Shirley MacLaine

Went on to receive six Academy Award nominations including one for Best Documentary Feature for The Other Half of the Sky: A China Memoir (1975), and the other five all for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performances in Some Came Running (1958), The Apartment (1960), Irma la Douce (1963), The Turning Point (1967), and Terms of Endearment (1983), which earned MacLaine her one Oscar trophy. Other popular Shirley MacLaine features include The Children's Hour (1961), Two Mules for Sister Sara (1970), Being There (1979), and Steel Magnolias (1989). She is the older sister of actor Warren Beatty.
