Shop by the Stars aisle featuring Robert Young (1907-1998) vintage movie cards, still photos, ephemera, and other collectibles. Chicago born actor best remembered for starring in television's Father Knows Best and Marcus Welby, M.D., but celebrated in this space for his earlier movie career. Young had a busy and successful Hollywood career throughout the 1930s and '40s when he appeared in films such as Alfred Hitchcock's Secret Agent (1936), Stowaway (1936) starring Shirley Temple, The Mortal Storm (1940) with James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan, Northwest Passage (1940) with Spencer Tracy, opposite Dorothy McGuire in The Enchanted Cottage (1945), and film noir classic Crossfire (1947). Two of my own favorites starring Robert Young are the baseball-murder-mystery Death on the Diamond (1934) and MGM's adaptation of the John Marquand novel H.M. Pulham, Esq. (1941) directed by King Vidor.
