Jean Parker

Shop by the Stars aisle featuring Jean Parker (1915-2005) vintage movie cards, still photos, ephemera, and other collectibles. Montana-born actress made her screen debut in 1932, and was very busy on screen from that time until the mid-1940s. Returned to the screen in classic Twentieth Century Fox Western The Gunfighter (1950), and continued acting in movies and on television through 1957, with her final screen appearance coming in Apache Uprising (1965). My favorite Jean Parker performance comes as the tragic sister Beth in Little Women (1933). Other popular classics featuring Parker include Frank Capra's Lady for a Day (1933), René Clair's The Ghost Goes West (1935), with Laurel and Hardy in The Flying Deuces (1939), among many others. I also like her in the bizarre Christmas movie Beyond Tomorrow (1940), which now plays on TCM come every December.
